Row to the Azores
This is a project I’ve been working on over the last couple years- using a rowing machine to take myself from the Chesapeake Bay across the Atlantic to the Azores.
I’ve written a more lengthy explanation of my journey, and how I used this as an opportunity to merge data, design, and exercise, in one of my musings.
LEGO Mosaics
In an effort to better understand my relationship with my work, I attempted a “self-portrait” of my face designed with LEGO bricks. The pupils feature miniature Birds of Paradise plants, capturing my lifelong admiration for the plants & birds of the same name.
Mock Product Design
While most of my work is more physical, occasionally I’ll turn to Photoshop to put together fake packaging design when the inspiration strikes. Most often this is used to make fully-wrapped packages to accompany gifts (such as custom LEGO sets), but at other times I’ll simply want to breathe life into an amusing product idea!

“The Block Chain”
What if the concept of digital block chains could be made real?
“The Block Chain” is an imagined answer to that question. The piece is built using a series of cubic LEGO ‘blocks’, and it is designed to be wall-mounted and backlit with micro-LEDs, allowing the translucent pieces in the build to give off a classic command-line green glow.
This conceptual design was developed in 2022. A recreation of NYC’s Dock72 building, this was an imagined 20,000+ piece replica, stretching nearly 6’ long. Without backing for the project, however, the design has been left in an unfinished state.
